I'm constantly amazed at our sweet technology today. It's incredible that I can send this text message to blogger and it immediately posts to our blog. I know what you are thinking, "welcome to the 21st century" or maybe "where have you been"? Good fun!

The Judds in San Francisco

We haven't posted anything since the wedding in December. Not that we have very many people eagerly following our every move. We understand that our lives might border on the side of boredom.

However, when nieces and nephews come to town, we have a great time. Karen's close friend Helen was married a few weeks ago. So, during the pregame show (i.e. women getting their nails, hair and make up ready) this provided a great opportunity for me, Nate, Jake and Wes to head to the city for a tour of Alcatraz.

We might have fumbled with our cameras for the first little bit, but once the island came into focus, we were all ready for our adventure. After living out in the Bay Area for nearly six years, I finally visited the prison. My first impressions were of how inhuman and terrible it would be locked up in a cell. On our way back from the the island, Wes stated my favorite quote of the day, "if I was locked up there, I would have spent all my time in the library." I probably would have wanted to spend most of my time in the yard, then again with the sounds of the city in the night wind, would that be just as torturous? Since I am new to blogging, I thought I might just share a few other pictures from the day. I'll see if I can talk Christina into posting some of the photos from her iPhone of the girls dancing at the reception, absolutely adorable!

We are wishing you were here with us in Palo Alto.
